The Gallery

Nestled into the glorious green rice fields of Ubud on Jl. Subak Sok Wayah,
the gallery and artisan gift shop share a lush and beautiful garden and some of the loveliest views in Ubud. Tim & Christine Hingston have curated their Ubud Art House gallery showcasing local ceramic artists, painters and jewellers, photographers and craftsmen.
A genuinely unique gallery experience.

Meet The Owners

Having met at art school in Perth in 1972, Tim & Christine Hingston’s lives have been intertwined with art and creativity ever since.
Twenty-five years ago, while managing a successful clothing business and raising a family in Perth, they sought respite from their busy lives and found themselves enchanted by Ubud during a holiday in Bali.

Zanzibar Art House stands as a testament to their love for Ubud and the artistic community. Nestled along one of Ubud's picturesque rice field walks, it welcomes visitors to immerse themselves in its magical ambiance.

Along Subak Sok Wayah,
seekers of art and beauty can spot the blue sign leading to this unique space, named in honour of their cherished memories from Zanzibar Island.

“We met at art school in Perth in 1972 and since then, whatever we have been doing, art and creativity has been a part of our lives”

When you arrive at Zanzibar Art House expect to be greeted with colourful paintings, smiling faces and a very welcoming garden filled with delightful sculptures.
